A Passage to Tomorrow

Imagining a More Wonderful World

“I see trees of green, red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

And I think to myself

what a Wonderful World”

These words from ‘What A Wonderful World’ performed by Louis Armstrong

paint a bright picture of an optimistic, happy and beautiful world,

a world that we all strive for, a world that we all would love to see.

Imagine a world that is fairer, kinder, smarter and cleaner.

A world where we all treat each other with respect and dignity.

A world where we put the common good ahead of our self interests.

Wouldn't that be a Wonderful World?

This new world, this undiscovered province, is not a fantasy...it is within our reach.

There is a path to this wondrous place, a road to this shining dawn,

a passage to this bright tomorrow.  We only need to take it.

A Passage to Tomorrow

A path towards a fairer world, a kinder world,

a smarter world, a cleaner world..

a Wonderful World.

'What a Wonderful World' song (shortened):

"I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom before me and you..

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night..

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by

I see friends shaking hands, saying 'How do you do?'
They're really saying, 'I love you'

I hear babies cry, I watch them them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know

And I think to myself
What a Wonderful World"
