This 1968 photo, now called ‘Earthrise’,

helped spark the beginning of a sense of belonging in humanity,

connecting us back to ourselves and our common kinship.

With this image of our shared homeland hovering in our minds,

now is the time to act upon it, but instead of the Earth rising it will be us rising…    rising high above the horizon of our old hostilities and mistrusts,

in a new spirit of cooperation to solve many mutual issues.
